Fiji WILL bounce back but Voreqe SHOULD bounce out!

It's time to bounce back and stick together as Fijians in the nation. Right on Voreqe! That's the message from ILLEGAL Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama as he today announced the relief efforts that have started following the devastating effects of Hurricane Tomas.

He said three navy vessels are leaving today with emergency supplies and the NZ, Australian and French air force aircraft will also be assisting in relief efforts and aerial surveys.

Commodore Bainimarama said Fiji is also blessed that the most densely populated areas in the main regions were not severely affected by Hurricane Tomas. We are blessed because the collective prayers of a nation of people who are suffering in YOUR HANDS VOREQE is being heard by their Father. Imagine if He had thought otherwise!

Commodore Bainimarama said citizens in the Northern region, the Lomaiviti and Lau groups have suffered the brunt of the hurricane experiencing winds of upto 240 kilometres per hour. What happened to the island of Koro in Lomaiviti is the result of your visit. Remember Jonah!

He said the government's first priority is to carry out an assessment to determine the full extent of the damage.

The ILLEGAL Prime Minister said while carrying out these assessments, emergency supplies including food and water will be delivered to the affected regions.

Commodore Bainimarama said apart from the three navy vessels leaving today with emergency supplies, government vessels Iloilovatu and Raiyawa will leave for the Lau and Lomaiviti groups with more supplies.

They will also carry planting materials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the RFMF Engineers and public servants who will be deployed to carry out emergency work.

Commodore Bainimarama also stresses that he wants to schools and medical centres affected by Hurricane Tomas to be up and running as soon as possible. It's like a RUSH RUSH mentality with this military regime! For goodness sake...of course we want normality but don't make it like it's the BE ALL AND END ALL! And that is YOUR PROBLEM, Voreqe! You think QUICK FIXES like your coup is going to solve ALL our problems QUICKLY! IT WON"T!

The RFMF Territorial Engineers will be deployed to commence work on the priority areas of schools, hospitals and medical centres.

Other military personnel including the navy will also be part of the deployments. THIS IS WHAT THE MILITARY IS ONLY GOOD FOR - assistance to build our nation rather than TEAR IT DOWN WITH THEIR GUNS! Bring on the White Defense Paper, so, we can downsize this over-inflated and over-budgeted military to make them more efficient and more effective as an organization who can OFFER real assistance to our devastated country.

Commodore Bainimarama has also acknowledged France, Australia and New Zealand's assistance.
