My Sole Contribution to National Dialogue - Reduce, Disarm or Dismantle Fiji's Military

Pio Tikoduadua, an opportunist military officer in Voreqe's military regime is urging the public to join the upcoming National Dialogue Forum on Fiji's future. Good intentions indeed, but what's up with the pre-requisites regarding adhering to Voreqe's Farter Charter? Really!

We must take note of the fact that one of the contents of the Charter is 'officialising the military's role in overseeing the governing of the country.' Who wants a military to be above the government chosen by the people? We, the people have our own power to rid of any government that is not ruling in our favour by our own non-violent, non-threatening means - that is elections. But the military only knows threatening by the barrel of their guns. That is not going to change especially with the limited minded military officials we currently have who lack any moral responsibility towards the well-being of our people.

So, if I write in and say, my only sole contribution that will confirm that we rid of Fiji of the coup culture that has seeped into our society by megalomaniacs with guns, is to DISARM, REDUCE OR BETTER STILL DISMANTLE the military, will I be asked to join this forum?

I mean, one of the pillars of this Farter Charter is to rid Fiji of the coup mentality. And the source of it is THE LIMITED MENTALITY OF MILITARYMEN AND WOMEN WITH GUNS. PERIOD! Thus, if, we get rid of the GUNS, we may truly get rid of the coup culture. Because it has been proven, that a close minded Fijian brain, when it gets inflated with unrealistic notions of power like the one possible by the barrel of the GUN, it makes one believe they have ALL THE ANSWERS TO OUR SOCIETY'S PROBLEMS AND SUCCESS. But unfortunately, that has also been proven to be WRONG! Case in point...Rabuka and Speight. Now Voreqe.

So, that's my challenge to you Pio. Yours and your leader's dictatorship powers will again be proven by this simple point. Nothing complex. Nothing fancy.

GET RID OF THE GUNS. ABSORB MILITARY PERSONNEL INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE LIKE THE ELECTRICITY DEPT, BUILDING FIJI'S INFRASTURE, SCHOOLS, BORDER PATROL, ETC. THEN WE WILL KNOW FOR SURE THAT YOU HAVE FIJI'S BEST INTERESTS AT HEART.

Otherwise, you're just another bunch of thieves in sheep's clothing prolonging our return to justice, peace and prosperity.

THE ONLY THREAT WE HAVE TO OUR NATION'S FREEDOM, PEACE AND PROSPERITY IS A MILITARY LED BY DELUSIONAL PEOPLE WHO DON'T REALLY KNOW WHERE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES BEGIN AND END. THEY DON'T KNOW WHETHER THEY ARE ARTHUR OR MARTHA WHEN IT COMES TO RULING BY DEMOCRACY AND SETTING BOUNDARIES FOR THEMSELVES, SO, THEY DON'T INTERFERE WITH ELECTED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.
